How I Became A Pirate

We have been looking forward to this Casa date for a long time! Daddy made it home just in time to read the boys this book one last time.   We were thrilled to see it with our friends! We haven't seen them in a while. We had a blast! So great to see the Hanckowiak clan:)

Playdates

We got to enjoy some fun playdates this week. On Monday, we celebrated Stella's 1st Birthday with our friends. Jo had a wonderful, fall paint project for the kids.   We realized they were wearing cute shirts and painting, so we stripped them all down. They looked super cute.  The beautiful birthday girl!  Gus making leaves...  Then it was time for food.  Gus hanging with the bigger boys  enjoying baby bundt cakes!  all the babies! On Friday we went to Glen Rose to see the Kimbrough's and break in Jackson's new trampoline. We killed some time at the park before Jackson got home from school.  they jumped, wrestled and race little cars on it, and then christened it with cookie crumbs and dirt.   Gus bugging Emma  the guys disappeared for a few minutes. We found them in the barn trying to "help" the workers.  Of course, Gus had to test his limits on the tramp...

Sweet Summertime

Just some recent, random photos.... The chaos continues here. When the going gets tough, I call in the big guns (aka Aunt Nettie and Aunt Mimi). Mindy and I took the boys to meet Annette for lunch one day....and we ended up doing some shopping at Inwood Village and IKEA. Garrett loves "Zakieus" because they "give" you little pencils (what he means is, there are pencils everywhere for people to use to write down item/bin #s). He thinks it is his personal writing utensil collection. He also enjoys the paper, disposable measuring tapes they hand out. I shouldn't complain, because it keeps him totally entertained while we are there. Gus would pick up his phone every few minutes and say "lo?" Mindy is with us, too, but I never got a pic with her. Sorry, Meems:) We also did some shopping for Baby Girl Hopper!! Shopping for baby gear is so much fun. Gus thought so, too. He is my shopping buddy. Trying on some specs at St. Bernard ...
