Happy New Year...

Happy New Year from the Donaho's We spent the last night of 2010 at Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine. Erin, Jason, Atlee and Emery joined us. It would not have been nearly as fun with out them there. We're so glad they made the trip up from San Antonio. According to Atlee and Garrett, these are coyotes (not wolves).... This area becomes animated at story-time which occurs at various times throughout the day. Garrett just loved the trees with faces and the talking Moose. The "Fort"that was in our room for the kiddos.... We were in the room long enough to change into our swimsuits. The lobby area overlooks the waterpark, so Garrett knew as soon as we checked in that there was fun to be had. He was very eager to go swimming. This was one of his favorites....just sitting on the jet ski shooting water. My favorite was the wave pool and lazy river.....I love to float. :) It is 85 degrees in the water park, but I occasionally had to take  a dip in the "no-kids-allowe...

"We dot duyt"

Since the weather was nice today, Zane took Garrett to get sand for his sandbox. Holy smokes, was he excited.  They got the sand from a rock yard, so a tractor dump it into the bed of the truck. Garrett thought that was pretty cool. As soon as they got home, he came running in the house yelling "Mom....we dot duyt," They unloaded it (Garrett insisted on helping). I think he shoveled just as much out of the sandbox as he did in the sandbox. When it was full of sand, he came running inside again to tell me "We done". I came outside to see it, and I asked him if I should bring him a tractor. He said yes and turned around running to the sandbox. After a few steps he stopped, turned around, put both hands up in the air and said "No........TWO tractors". Then off he went. If anyone wants to come play in the sand, give us a call!

More Christmas Fun...

Annette & Marcus were nice enough to give my new wafflemaker a try.....Gingerbread Waffles were excellent. After Christmas Clearance Sale shopping, Mom and I got busy putting together a room for the baby. She made curtains and will make pillows when she comes up next weekend. Garrett thought he might be able to help Nana.   My Aunt Debi came over to help. and to chat. Meanwhile, the guys were outside building Garrett a sandbox Garrett "tried" to help them, too. After wards, Karsyn dressed us all up in hats.... The final project for the day: Get the Keg for the kegerator! Tuesday was dedicated to moving furniture around so that Garrett's room and the baby's room are next to each other and they can share and the jack-n-jill bathroom....I'm so thankful for all the help we had. There is no way Zane and I could have moved 3 rooms by ourselves. (I'm pretty worthless these days when it comes to picking up heavy stuff). Garrett found time for Elmo in the...
