Garrett and friends...

Image
Garrett has quite a collection of battery-operated musical animals. He lined them all up the other night and played tham all at the same time. One sings Johnny Cash, another sings Elvis, the Lamb sings "Barbara Ann" and the duck sings "If you are happy and you know it". As you can imagine, it was a jumbled mess. Then Garrett joined the party... And then he found a new location, lined them back up again, and started playing the music again.

Trinity Park

We went to the park to ride the mini train with our friends, but the train wasn't running. We were still able to have our picnic at Trinity Park and then ran around and played with all our friends.

Fall Decorating

Image
Since Zane's been gone, we have spent lots of our evenings getting the house decorated for Fall. Garrett enjoys all the "puh-ins" and "pie-ders". He helped bring out the decorations that were in the garage. making another trip getting a bit frustrated when he couldn't make it stick in the ground. One of the scarecrows that he doesn't like... we got caught in the rain... Waiting until the rain stops... "Visiting" with the scarecrow that he likes. The taller ones are too intimidating... Garrett and his little friend We put up decorations in the house, but he insists on putting them all in the livingroom in front of the fireplace. He is starting to be a gatherer and a grouper (pumpkins go with the pumpkins, spiders go with spiders). During naptime and bedtime I put them all back out, and within minutes of him being awake they end up on or near the fireplace. My favorite store in Mansfield has awesome decor for every holiday. We stopped by...

Mean Momma

So our trip to Target turned into more of a trip to a haunted house. I all the talking decorations scare Garrett, to say the least. He was hiding in the cart so he couldn't see the talking skulls. The witch on the right was talking, and Garrett had his head in his hands. Are you kidding me, Mom? He got off of the seat to sit on the floor on the cart so he coudln't see them. Our new hair do...  Ready for Mardi Gras....oh no!

Another Date Night

Image
Wednesday was not a fun day. I had to go to Houston to deal with some HR issues, so it made for a very long (I left the house at 5 a.m. to catch my flight) and nerve-racking day. After I got home, Garrett and I went to the Sonic near our house for dinner. Mainly, because they have the best playground, it is all enclosed so he won't escape, and who doesn't love some cheesy tater tots? Mr. Adventurous... the these clouds moved in rather quickly and tried to ruin our fun. Luckily the patio area is covered, and the rain didn't last too long. Watching it rain and eating our dinner... Lucky for me (and my clean car) the rain made the sand muddy, and oh-so-fun to play in.

Sunday Funday

Image
We went to church on Sunday, and we checked out the prayer garden afterwards. It was more lush and full than I've ever seen it. We could have lost Garett in all the flowers. Here is he trying to unbotton his pants and he is asking me "peepee in the bushes, mama?" Sunday night we met up with Annette and her friends for dinner in honor of her 30th birthday. Garrett and Ben
