The Donaho's

On Saturday Garrett, helped with some chores around the house.... he cleaned out my belt drawer... he kept me company as I folded laundry & watched the neighbors do yardwork he cleaned out the "feminine product supplies" drawer AGAIN. he loves that drawer. then he got ready to go....he put on make-up. Then we went to a rummage sale (got some good bargains), had some lunch, and went to see a neighborhood we are interested in near Burleson. On the way, we had to stop and see the mama cows. Later that afternoon, we enjoyed the awesome weather. Daddy played us some songs while I finished up watering flowers. Then we headed over to Curtis, Lisa & Brylee's house for dinner! For the second year in a row, we went to Studio 121 to have Easter pictures with live bunnies. Garrett did well - he was in a good mood and was very gentle with the bunnies. He wasn't quite sure about them since their claws were kind of sharp, but he really enjoyed watching them while they were in their cage.

Tate Springs Mothers Day Out had an Open House last night, so Garrett got to show Zane & I what he has been doing all year long. It is evident that he really does love it there, and it is so nice to know that so many things we teach at home are being reinforced there as well (like praying before meals, certain signs, washing hands, etc. He has lots of friends there, I personally know 3 of the moms who have kids in Garrett's class which is really nice, and his teachers are wonderful. There is a problem, though. He seems to be smitten with yet another little girl. Her name is Taegan. This is getting out of hand. His teacher, Mrs. Terry tells me they hug, they dance together, and Taegen has given him a few kisses. She even has a photo of Garrett and Taegen snuggled up in a box together. Today was so nice, we tried out some flip flops. Garrett wasn't too sure of them, but they kept him busy for a while. He found this hat and insisted on wearing it.

Garrett got another package from Nana. He got really excited when he saw the box on the porch and we told him it was from Nana. He understands that Nana sends good stuff. He wore his new elephant shirt today to Mother's Day Out. Thanks, Nana. See you next weekend!

After church today, Annette & Marcus wanted to spend the day with us for my birthday. We had several fun things planned, but all this rain changed our plans. We opted to go to the Stockyards in Ft. Worth and ride the train since you can do that rain or shine. Once we got there, we saw signs that said no train today due to a special event in Grapevine. So we walked around, had lunch at H3 and saw the Cattle Drive. It was a fun day, and we had a nice visit with Annette & Marcus. Thanks so much, Annette & Marcus!!! I worked in the nursery at the 9:30 service at church today, so I snapped some pictures of Garrett & his buddy, Peyton. We took a ride in the wagon...Garrett's favorite thing to do while in the nursery. At the FW Stockyards Annette & Marcus A long, tall Texan Annette & Marcus brought me 4 little bundt cakes from "Nothing Bundt Cakes". They were amazing!
