I took a vacation day on Friday so that Garrett and I could spend the day together, shop in Boerne, and just relax. As an added bonus, Zane didn't have to be in his meetings until later in the afternoon so he was able to hand out with us. Then Erin (who is awaiting baby Emery's arrival) decided she and Atlee would meet up with us and do some shopping. The weather was cold and windy, but we were still able to find yummy food and some great bargains. Friday night we headed to Leon Springs Dancehall for the annual party & dance. This year's music entertainment was Johnny Rodriguez and The Big Outfit (Zane's band with several other adjusters) would close the show. On Thursday we flew to San Antonio to meet up with Zane. He had been there all week long for his annual work conference. My friend Lisa drove us to the airport. We got to use Brylee's pink carseat. Garrett didn't mind. Garrett got a toy for the plane ride. Of course he chose an airplane that made "take-off" sounds. We watched the planes out the window until it was time to board. Not only could we see planes from our vantage point, but we could also see the skylink "train", which really got Garrett excited. Trains AND planes out the same window was about as much excitement as the little guy could handle. That evening, the annual roping was cancelled, so Zane's band, The Big Outfit, entertained the crowd after dinner. Garrett loved the music and starred intently at the band during their entire performance. He would bob his head ever-so slightly, especially during Johnny Cash songs. Garrett Dancing... After church we headed to the Rodeo and Stockshow in Ft. Worth. Annette and Marcus came along, and we met up with Lisa, Curtis & Brylee, as well as Kay & TJ. We had lunch, walked around to see animals and the booths, and then hit the matinee Rodeo performance. Both Brylee and Garrett stayed awake the entire time, and stayed pretty entertained by the animals. They were so good. Brylee & Garrett: meeting up with them in the parking lot.
