New family pictures

Image
My super-talented sister-in-law took some pictures of us at the Coast over Easter. As always, she worked her magic. There is something about little ones and the beach.... You can check out Erin's website at http://www.erinhomann.com/ if you need a great photographer. She lives in San Antonio, but travels just about anywhere.

Puppy Love

Image
The latest addition to our family: I think it is safe to say that Garrett misses our dogs. They have been with their "grandparents" since we put our house on the market. We are ready for them to come home.My mom bought this stuffed dog for Garrett at the Orvis store that is going out of business. He loves it, and he has carried it around since they bought it on Sunday. He has named it "Daisy" which is my parents' dog's name. The dog had to sit and watch Garrett eat his spaghetti last night. We gave the dog a green bean to eat while Garrett ate his food. He cried and whined during dinner that he couldn't hold his dog. Tonight before bed: Loving on Daisy

Gobble, gobble...

Zane went turkey hunting this past weekend with his Dad and good friend, Morgan. They also had a tv crew with them for the show "The Management Advantage". They had a great time and all came home with turkeys. Maybe we will see them on the Outdoor Channel soon:) Zane, his Dad, Ralph & Casey from "The Management Advantage" Ralph & Zane Turkey toes....

Bubbles with Aunt Marilyn

Image
Zane's Aunt Marilyn watches Garrett 2 days a week. She always has fun stuff planned for them to do. She is a retired kindergarten teacher, so she has something new all the time. Yesterday, they did bubbles with Dawn dish soap and strawberry containers. They were the coolest bubbles I have ever seen. Fun, fun, fun. I can't wait to see what they will do tomorrow:)

Fun with Nana

Image
Zane went hunting this weekend, leaving me to pack alone. Luckily, my Mom rescued us and came up on Friday. She didn't get in until 8 p.m. (4 hours than he scheduled arrival) due to the storms here and in Midland. It all worked out well. Zane had a great hunting trip, and we had a great time with Nana. Garrett waiting for Nana at the aiport. Nana brought Garrett a fireman's hat. On Saturday, cousin Karsyn came over to the house with my Aunt Debi. Karsyn and Garrett played and played and played. Nana kisses. Lunch on Sunday after church ~ these 2 were having a conversation about Elmo or something. Gloria's bean dip is the best. Thank you, Mom!! We love you!

Demolition Night

Image
On Thursday night, we joined several of our church friends in the church parking lot to witness the building demolition of what will soon be a new building for our church. Our church had the opportunity to purchase this old building a year or 2 ago, which is next to our church. It has been vacant for quite a while and needs to be torn down to make room for our church's new Family/Youth center. Luckily, the contractor was willing to do it during the evening when we all could watch. The kids loved it (as did the adults). The whole building was down in about 20 minutes. Garrett had his dumptrucks on hand, just in case they needed his help The firemen doing some last minute training before the demolition begins... Down it goes.... Garrett was mesmorized! He loved every minute of it. Having a celebratory cupcake When it was over Garrett kept saying "more, more" and pointing to the bulldozer. All the spectators... The building was down in about 20 minutes.....
