Tricks-or-Treats 2012

Image
Garrett was very ready for Halloween. He had been asking for several days when we can trick or treat to our neighbors. I could have skipped it since we already had quite a stockpile of candy from the events the previous weekend, but there was no skipping it with the boys. After BSF on Wednesday morning, they both took good naps in preparation for that night (notice their bed head). Since Zane headed East for hurricane-related work stuff, the boys and I were doing a little project I found on Pinterest. It was supposedly a way disperse candy to trick or treaters when no one would be home, so 1 kid couldn't take 5 handfuls and wipe us out. Sunshine Kid of the Week

Image
Garrett was chosen by his teacher at preschool as the Sunshine Kid of the Week because he has been so helpful and is trying really hard to always follow instructions. He got to fill out this paper and bring his favorite book to school for the teacher to read. This was a tough decision. It came down to Room on the Broom, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (really??) and The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything.  Hard to believe they chose this kid, huh? :)  of course, "Repeat" wanted a picture, too...just like brother.

Event #1 Thursday, October 25th Annette's work party at Whitley Penn Curious George and The Man with a Yellow Hat  Once again, this office building out did themselves. Different fun and goodies on each floor. Garrett remembered the magician from last year. He kept asking me if he'd be there again. the boys thought he was amazing. the boys' first rave Garrett and Zane under the black lights in the "Paunted House". Garrett had been gearing up for the haunted house all week. Last year he was scared, but this year he did fine. He went through it VERY fast, so I'm not sure there was time for anything to scare him:) Annette has another ne...
