Halloween Breakfast

Image
We were up bright and early on Saturday, so we decided to do something we rarely do....go out to breakfast. There is a great place in Mansfield, called Our Place. They have great breakfast and have been very busy since they opened. On the way to breakfast we passed by a huge garage sales with tons of toys, so Garrett got some new puzzles. He couldn't wait to play with them. All the wait staff was dressed up, which made for a fun scenery. Since Garrett was a rodeo clown the prior day, he had to have his picture with the owner... The "Pink Lady" was our waitress. Garrett loved her glasses... Garrett got the Mickey Mouse pancakes....they were huge! Then we were off to get ready for our big day.

Shepherd of Life Trunk-or-Treat

Friday night we attended our first ever trunk-or-treat. Our church hosted it...we had so much fun. The weather was chilly, there was a big moon, and no rain. It truly felt like Autumn should. My Mom was in town for a conference, so we got to spend some time with her this week. It was great having her at Trunk-or-Treat so she could take Garrett to get some treats. While Zane & I decorated and prepared the hay ride, Mom fed Garrett his dinner and got him dressed. Tricking or treating with Nana... My boys and me (Zane drove the hay ride, so he had to dress the part). The Newhouse Triplets and their Mom...they are so cute! And I was stressed about getting 1 little person dressed. Angela and Bob are amazing. Davy checking out the pumpkins... The hayride... The hayride was super fun! Next year, we need to find a tractor, though. The truck was sufficient, but a tractor would really add to the ambience. Davy obsessing with the lid to the pumpkin. more hayride... G...

Moms behaving badly

After class on Friday, Garrett & I went to lunch with Lesli & Morgan, Dionne & Drake, and Venessa & Heston. We went to Campo Verde, sat in the back, and let the kids run wild while we ate. We were the moms that used to really annoy me before I had kids. Funny how I find it perfectly acceptable now. In our defense, we were there at 11 a.m. so it wasn't busy, and we were in the back. Hopefully we didn't distrub anyone too much. Garrett & Drake the Vampire Garrett & Morgan Watching the train... Drake & Garrett cleaning the floors... Heston & Morgan. About 2 seconds after we left the restaurant... What a fun lunch, girls!!

Freaky Friday

I took a vacation day on Friday since Garrett and I had so many festivities to attend. We had a great day! First we went to Stroller Strides, where the kids had to dress up. We decided to give Davy Crocket a break, so Garrett was a Rodeo Clown. I can't believe he kept the make up on. After class, we did treat-or-treat "stroller syle". The kids got a treat at each stroller they "visited". Before class... At class... Baby Isabelle as a giraffe... Carter, as a Frenchman... Matthew, the giraffe, Garrett & Carter watching the dancing duck that my Mom bought Garrett... Trick-or-Treating Stroller Style... Looking for treats... Me & the Rodeo Clown... Vanessa & Heston (aka Donald Duck)... Matthew, Eric and Morgan... Samuel & Garrett... All the kids watching the duck....

Boo at the Zoo

Image
This evening we headed to the Ft. Worth Zoo for the annual Boo at the Zoo. We were supposed to go last night, but the rain kept everyone away. For this particular event, the animals are the secondary attraction. Guests dressed up in costume, clowns, crazy-looking characters, pumpkin patches, and candy are the main attractions. This modern day Davy Crocket wasn't carrying a gun....he was carrying a Blackberry. So I got to carry his musket/gun. This Davy Crocket texted the following to his friends: "You may all go to hell, and I will go to Texas" The hat was a no-go and the mocassins were tough to walk in. Garrett and his buddy, Trevor. Garrett & Trevor meeting "Bubbles" the clown. Garrett giving this clown "5". There was a trio playing, which Garrett loved. He was completely enamoured with the band of a tuba player, clarinet player and bajo player. He wasn't taking his eyes of them... Trevor, the chunky monkey... Ga...
