Little helper

Garrett is pretty good about feeding Sophie, except he feeds her a little more than he should. Sophie loves it. This is definitely going to be his chore. He also weeds the flowerbeds!

On Saturday afternoon, we took Garrett on the Forest Park Mini Train in Ft. Worth. We have been trying to ride it for awhile, but the weather has not cooperated. Saturday was finally nice. Zane bought Garrett a train whistle. He could hear the real train whistle for quite awhile before it showed up at the "depot".  Garrett had to blow his whistle. Several times. Anxiously waiting for the train to stop with Daddy. About to leave. This is his face as we were taking off. At first he started shaking his head and saying "no, no" as if he was scared, but that lasted about one  milisecond. Check out the concentration in his face. He was very interested in what the conductor was doing. We stopped about half way through at the little snack bar. This is Garrett saying "All Aboard!". Scary Cow

Friday was Free Chicken Day at Chick-fil-A. If you dressed like a cow, you got a free sandwhich. We just happened to go through the drive thru on that day. As we were waiting in line, I pointed out to Garrett that there were "cows" inside the restaurant. When he looked, the real Chick-fil-A cow was waving at him. Garrett got really scared and started saying "no, no, no". Then he tried to hide from the cow by pressing his head as far as he could back into his headrest. It was funny, but pitiful.

Jackson's Baptism

We went to Glen Rose a few weeks ago to celebrate Baby Jackson's baptism. The Methodist Church there is really nice, very welcoming, and has lots of kids. Jackson did great and tolerated all his company and a long day very well. Garrett before church began. Kay, TJ & Jackson Playing with both of his Grandmothers. TJ's Dad (holding Jackson), TJ's Grandmother, Mimi, and Sheralyn. During the baptism... Gettin' "dunked" After worship we all went back to Kay and TJ's for a yummy lunch. G playing with Ryan. TJ's Grandmother is from France. They call her Meme. Garrett immediately loved her because of her name (we call my sister Mindy "Mimi"). She is 90, but Garrett played with her all afternoon. She was eating a cookie, so Garrett went up to her and asked her to share her "chewchie". Kramer Jackson on his big day Garrett and Jackson had fun playing. G pushed him in his walker. As soon as Jackson was out of the walker, someone els...
