Last weekend, Zane went antelope hunting in Wyoming with his good friend, Morgan. After many hours in the blind, Zane shot this antelope with his bow on Saturday.

A day at the zoo

The weather has been so nice this week that we had to get outside and spend some time at the Ft. Worth Zoo. It was raining, and then once we got there it miraculously stopped. We ended up buying a membership, so if anyone is up for a visit to the zoo, give us a call. One benefit of the cool weather is that the animals were all out and eager to enjoy the weather. No one was in the monkey house when we got there, and I think the chimpanzees were lonely. As soon as they saw us they ran to the window. I screamed and so did Garrett because it was a bit scarey to see these creatures coming at us. Once we established that he wasn't going to break through the glass, we really enjoyed watching the chimps upclose and personal. And Garrett had to make his monkey sound. Over and over again. She was really interested in Garrett...I wonder if she was a mama. My 2 monkeys checking out the rhinos. The cheetahs...we rarely get to see these guys, so it was great to see them out and wonderi...

Happy Birthday, Aunt Nettie.

Saturday was Annette's birthday, so we spent the day with her. Mindy came up from College Station, and we met Annette & Marcus for lunch in Dallas at Jimmy's. Then we headed to Dallas Affaires to pick up cupcakes for Annette, then to the Farmer's Market. Garrett loved the pumpkins at the Farmer's Market. My boy & me... So close to walking... But he really just wants to crawl... Garrett & his Aunt Mimi... I think the hay was hurtin his legs, but he held out for 1 photo... checking out the bees at the honey booth. one of the workers gave him his very own little pumpkin.

to celebrate Annette's birthday, we hung out at the house and watched the Texas Tech vs Texas game. Marcus grilled pizzas for us. Pizza rolls... Salad Pizza... quite the selection of pizzas... the birthday girl giving Mindy pizza dough lessons... Mindy & Garrett playing with his tunnel... Garrett getting his "gun's up" Having a cupcake in honor of Aunt Nettie's birthday... Swapping bottles with Marcus... We were bummed that Tech lost, but it was a great game. We had fun making and eating pizza and hanging out.
