On Saturday, Zane and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. Even though we were home and not at some exotic location, I think this was one of the best anniversaries. We had a great weekend and enjoyed being together with the boys. Since Zane has been working so much lately, we haven't done much family stuff. We went out to lunch... Garrett took our picture...he cracks us up because he looks through the camera as if there was a view finder. and says 'cheeeeeeese" while he's doing it. too cute. He was very excited about all the flags... Zane didn't tell me where we were going. All he said was that we were going to get my gift. Initially I thought to buy a sewing machine or maybe some shopping for a coffee table. But as it turned out, he took me to Northpark to the Louis Vuitton store to choose a handbag. I was very excited and a little overwhelmed. It was awesome, though. Garrett loves to watch the ducks and turtles at the mall.    Watching the music performer...

Children's Museum

We visited the Museum of Science and History in Ft. Worth. We've been a couple of times last year, but it was more age appropriate for Garrett this time. They have an awesome children's museum, so we spent most of our time there. There were quite a few field trips going on at the time, but they weren't in the children's portion for too long. Looking at tarantulas.... Gus looking at Garrett looking at tarantulas. Big bro is way more interesting than a hairy spider. Still watching. At one point we visited the "hospital" section of the museum where they had babies. Garrett was holding one of the babies and had to bring it over to this section so he could show the baby the tarantula. Checking out the dinosaur exhibit. Garrett yells:  "Yook, Mom. It's the Earf" The energy exhibit was Garrett's favorite. It was sponsored by XTO, so Garrett wanted to wear the hardhat. It was just like Papa's. I think the hat was intended to be worn for a...

It's Almost Summer

Image
Garrett's last day of school was Thursday. Here he is with his classmate, Ericka. It was his teacher's birthday, so we brought her cupcakes. They were learning about summer activities, sunshine, swimming, etc. so their room was decorated with a Hawaiian theme. Garrett & Lilly. Halie, Lilly and Garrett  Garrett and Mrs. Alison. We are going to miss her. She was awesome, so patient, incredibly creative with her lessons and crafts, and very sweet.  We celebrated with spaghetti on the patio on Thursday night. Gus is excited to have his big bro home all week long. He likes to grab onto the green ring hanging from his bouncy seat. Friday we went to Stroller Strides Gus did his sit ups.... Then we joined some friends for a picnic and train ride at the mini train. Gus's 1st train ride!  These 2 were super excited for the train ride...
