Cereal!

Image
Gus has been fussier than normal He is happy until 1 pm or so, and then is fussy and wants to eat every 2 hours.  He has even woken up at 4 am twice this week. I was hoping to hold off another month or so, but we tried some oatmeal cereal. He was fussy and not liking it too much... So we took a break, I nursed him, and gave him a bath, and he was much happier. He had oatmeal cereal and toes for dinner. And loved it. Since we had no side effects, we had some more this afternoon in hopes of sustaining him better during the witching hour. Garrett wanted to help feed him Loved it and was much, much more content this afternoon. g He is as much a fan of his jumper as Garrett was. There are only a few places in our house where we can hang the jumper. One of them being our pantry, just like in our old house. Gus @ 4-1/2 months old   Garrett @ 5-1/2 months old

Sporting his baseball helmet..... Little Gym....he learned this trick from one of the posters on the wall. He pointed to it and said "yook!". It was a girl doing this same thing. Concentrating... We brought Gus's bouncy seat and he was happy to bounce ans watch all the chaos. After class Next up: Swim Lessons. Zane and Garrett are attending lessons at Spirals Gymnastics. They go each night for 40 minutes. The lessons are for 10 days. Watching brother swim... So far, he is enjoying it (unlike last year), loving spending one on one time with Zane, and surprisingly enjoys the instructor's no-nonsense (kind of insensitive) style and silly songs (i.e. kick, kick, kick. kick, kick, kick. kick your foot-ties (to the tune of "shake your booty"). Garrett at swim lessons in 2010...we've come along way. Some friends came over for a playdate... Tripp and Garrett Zane laid wiring so our gazebo will have electricity. Who knew that 120 feet of freshly trenched d...

Garrett wrapping Zane's gift. He made it for him at one of the kid's workshops at Lowes. Delivering presents to Zane before we were out of bed. He was very excited for Zane to open his handmade gift:) In the card, we listed some of our favorite things that Zane does for us. I asked Garrett and he replied "he do-es to meetings for us". I'm not sure what that means. He also said "pay in da dirt". Just so happens Zane started a project in our backyard on Saturday that involved lots of dirt, so that was fresh on his mind. After Sunday School and Church... At El Ranchito in Oakcliff. We had awesome Mexican food. Watching the mariachi band... Sleeping through the mariachi band... Sporting his new baseball helmet. Thank you, Annette & Marcus. And a very special Happy Father's Day to 2 of the best Dads and Grandfathers. Zane & I are very blessed to have the fathers that we do. Garrett & Gus wish they could have spent the day with yall, but...
