Gum Popping

This is kind of mean, but funny. This is what Garrett does when I pop my gum. I promise that nothing is going in his eyes....he is just being dramatic. Cute, but dramatic.

Congratulations, Mindy

Mindy spent quite a bit of time this week preparing for a big interview. She called yesterday after her interview, and they offered her the job right following her meeting. We are so happy that she'll be less than 3 hours away in Bryan. Way to go, Mimi. Here is what Garrett thinks...

Little Man

He's gotten so big this week...he can pull himself up, he climbs on me when I try to hold him, he is saying different sounds, and he is CLAPPING. He almost has more tricks than both dogs combined:)

Garrett got to see some of his friends this week. Thank you, Marissa, for hosting. Isn't this playroom great? Garrett loved watching all the other kids and having an entire room full of fun toys and colors.

Mindy was a savior this week. She stayed with us while our babysitter's little girl is recovering from her surgery. I had a huge week at work, and Zane was very busy, plus we are getting ready to go on vacation, so I don't know what we would have done with out her. I think Garrett wore her out! Garrett reading to Bristol... This is Mindy's dog, Bristol. He is a great addition to the family.

This afternoon, Zane put Garrett down for a nap after we got home from church. A few minutes later we heard a clicking sound coming fron his room. When we went in there we saw Garrett 1.) sitting up in his crib (we've never seen him go from lying down to sitting up by himself 2.) grabbing the little critters than hang from the mobile, thus causing the mobile to make a clicking sound, and 3.) looking over the rail of his crib. So we spent an hour lowering his mattress, moving the mobile, and lecturing him. None of it was effective in getting him to sleep. He still hasn't had a nap, but is in a very good mood. How we found him. Looks real sleepy, huh?

Is he crawling yet?

Everyone keeps asking. The answer is "no, but he's close". This is what he does:
