Who wants her?

Image
Tonight I "misplaced" an entire can of baby formula. I couldn't find it anywhere as I spent 30 minutes searching for it. Then I realized that Heidi (Zane's beloved bird dog) might have broken in our house via the doggie door and stole it off the counter. I went out side and this is what I found. Who wants her? Sorry, Zane, she's out of here.

Garrett's week

Image
Mindy spent the last week staying with us so she could watch Garrett while I worked. Mindy worked her butt off, but Garrett has had a blast and will miss his Aunt Mimi very much. He has gotten used to all that spoilin'. She was nice to him despite the fact that she was his 2nd victim ~ He bit her on the shoulder and almost broke the skin. What are we going to do with the little carnivore? Mindy even had time to love Sophie and her BFF, Bristol. Mindy made enough babyfood to last us a while. So far Garrett's favorite was sweet potato, chicken and apricot (with a tiny bit of onion).

He sure did enjoy those chop sticks...

Sports Day @ Stroller Strides

Playdate

Image
We had a playdate at our house. Mindy taught everyone about Baby Sign Language and how to use signs to communicate with your kiddo. Garrett was not a very gracious host, though....he bit his little friend, Luke. I couldn't believe it. Garrett has started burying his head in my shirt or my arm and bit me twice yesterday. As Luke was crawling past him, he put his face into the back of Luke's shirt and then Luke cried. Sure enough, there was a wet spot on the t-shirt and a red mark on poor Luke's back. Sorry, Luke! Reading Twilight and all this vampire non-sense is even affecting my child. We will work on no biting....I don't want to be the person that's excluding from the activities because they have a werewolf for a child. Thanks, Aunt Nettie, for the new outfit. It looks really cute and comfy. Garrett loves Madison. Here he is (pre-bite) trying to give her a kiss. He kept touching her hair with his lips. He is such the ladies man.

Mother's Day

Image
We spent my first Mother's Day in Midland with my parents and sisters. We had a great weekend. My favorite moment of the day was in church when the pastor was saying a special prayers for mothers. I was holding Garrett and when I looked up at him, he had his mouth open trying to kiss me. Showing Aunt Nettie his sea legs... Swimming with Grandma... Blowing bubbles with Grandma (he liked his turtle hat, too).
