Valentines for Zane and me

Image
Zane and I attended a cooking class at Sur La Table for Valentine's. Aunt Nettie and Marcus met us there and took little man for the night. We had so much fun: we found a great wine (that was from ZD Winery), cooked some great food, learned a few things, and met some "interesting" people. The finished product... Executive chef and Sous chef... Our class... Our yummy wine...Z for Zane, D for Debi and "vintage 2005" was our wedding year! Sauteing cherry tomatoes... Seasoning the steaks...preparing to sear them.

Garrett's 1st Valentine's Day

Image
Garrett & I made his box and Valentine's for his 1st Valentine's Day party with our playgroup. He thought that ribbon was really cool. This was our creation....it is hard to be manly but still festive at Valentine's Day. Our Stroller Strides Valentine's Party which was at Lesli and Morgan's house... Garrett and Morgan... Garrett checking out his loot... The whole gang... Garrett, Morgan and Finley... Just the boys...

Happy Valentine's Day

Hutton Family

Image
Our very good friends, Kristi & Brad, welcomed their identical twin girls into the world this morning. They were about a month early, but from the "reports" we are getting, they seem to be doing fine. They will most likely be in the NICU for a few weeks. Please say a little prayer for The Huttons, for the babies to get stronger, and for their Mom & Dad to rest and recover in preparation for their homecoming. Congrats, Hutton Family. Can't wait to see you all!

Such a big boy...

Where did my baby go? He looks so grown up here.

Futile

Garrett is such a rolly-polly. Tonight we put him to bed on his back, and within minutes he was on his belly. So we rolled him over again, and by the time I got back to our room and saw the monitor, he was already rolled back over on his belly. What baffles me is that he was sleeping, and still rolled over. We finally swaddled him and that kept him on his back.

Pantry raider....already

In our next house, I will be sure there are more doorways that are jumper-friendly. The one in our kitchen is on the pantry door. Since Garrett has started exploring with my dry goods, his days of hanging out in the pantry may be numbered. Those pasta sacks sure do make a cool, krinkle sound, so I guess that is why he reaches for those everytime. Today, he had several items pulled off the shelf in no time. He has really started grabbing stuff, as of a few days ago. Favorite things to grab are my hair, my blackberry, food off of my plate and his Daddy's sunglasses. But, who could stay mad at this smile....

Ball Pit

Image
Garrett really enjoys his dinosaur ball pit that Aunt Mimi and Uncle JJ got him for Christmas. He is able to sit up in it because it supports his back. All those balls are so fun. Sophie thinks those balls are for her, though. It is her never-ending ball source.

What a cutie....his hair is going to stand up anyway, so I might as well comb it that way. Grandma O will be so proud:) she loves doing that to his hair.
