Saturday @ the Park

Image
We were supposed to work at Habitat for Humanity on Saturday morning, but Friday night's rain changed our plans. the worksite was too wet on Saturday morning. Since it was such a cool and crisp morning, we decided to head to the park for a walk. Garrett wanted to show Zane how he can go down the slide all by himself. going head first ~ he is such a daredevil. ~just the 3 of us~

Turkey Hands

Today we made Turkey Hands with our friends. Garrett was only interested in putting the feathers in his mouth. He didn't want anything to do with having his hand traced. this was 1 year ago making turkey hands..... And this was 11/20. Lisa & Claire... Joanne & the birthday boy, Adrien... Afterwards we took a ride on the carousel. As badly as he wanted to ride it, he started crying when I put him on the horse... 1 second later... Mary, Trevor & Garrett...

The little vegetarian

I guess Garrett sees Zane & I eat salad before dinner, so he wants to try it, too. He has been pointing and whining at us whenever we eat salad. We've been giving it to him, and he loves it. Occassionally the lettuce gags him, but there is no getting around it ~ the boy wants salad. Weird, I know.

Santa....or as Garrett calls him "oh oh oh"

Image
We went to visit Santa this weekend at the mall with our playgroup friends. No crowd, no waiting....and they took several pictures, allowing us to pick the best one. Apparently that isn't normal protocal during the busy times. When we first arrived, Garrett kept walking toward Santa & Mr. Claus and waving to them. He didn't take his eyes off of them. When we got closer, he held onto me a little tighter. We watched 3 other kids sit on his lap and scream, so by the time I started to walk towards Santa to hand over Garrett, he knew what was going to happen. Once he was in Santa's lap, he cried for about 20 seconds, and then just stared at Santa. Santa started reading Garrett a book, and Garrett stopped crying. He was fine after that, yet very eager to get back into mama's arms. Note Garrett's reindeer shirt.....According to Garrett that is a "dea". I wondered who taught him that?
