The Donaho's

We got back into town from the ranch late on Wednesday. On Thursday we went to Mindy's for lunch. This was an easy Thanksgiving since we weren't sure where we would be spending Thanksgiving. I did no grocery shopping, preparation, and just a tiny bit of cooking. It was a nice change! Annette and Mindy, on the other hand, worked their tails off. And it was delicious. Garrett made some crafts... Dad bragging that he and Gus have the same hair-do. Marcus's parents brought their dogs. Nicki was stuffed....that triptophan! Gus's 1st Thanksgiving! Garrett sang "God our Father" for our prayer and Gus ate until he was stuffed ~ those were the highlights of my Thanksgiving! He started eating about 15 minutes before the rest of us sat down to eat and he continued to eat as we cleared and table and cleaned up dishes. He would slurp every last bit of food off of his tiny fingers. Garrett choosing his faves... Still eating, sans the plate. He requested some ...

We spent lots of time driving around, looking for deer,  and admiring the beautiful mountains and canyons. Garrett and Zane were helping Who Who set a mountain lion trap. (they are so well camouflaged that it's tough to see them:). Who Who treated Garrett to a ride on a loader. Gus enjoyed the driver's seat. We went exploring at the cave. as soon as we walked up, a large owl flew out. Donaho Quartet He loves his "purple"headphones (aka ear protection). G ready to shoot a big deer. Tuesday we went into Fort Davis, and ate at Zane's favorite place. Gus's 1st visit to Fort Davis. These puppets were a hit with the boys. McDonald Observatory Garrett and I were just having some fun. This picture cracks me up. One of the telescopes. The hit of the day was the $2 stick propellers we bought. We were sad it was time to head home....but I think Julsie & Who Who need a rest:) Thanks for a great week!
