Gus the Bus is a happy little guy. He is 13 lbs, 4 oz, and still has his crazy hair. He is sleeping from 9 pm to 6 am, and is still eating every 2-1/2 hours during the day. In the afternoon he can go 3 hours. He is trying to rollover, and loves lying on the floor. He has started to grab his feet, and is talking a bunch. We've even got some cute giggles from him. He likes to suck on his hand, so maybe he'll be a thumb sucker. He gets really fussy around dinnertime (Garrett did, too, as an infant), so if sucking on his thumb or hand will curb the fussiness during the witching hour, I'm okay with that. I spend a large portion of my day doing this because those cheeks are scrumptious.... Garrett is still a great big brother. He gets a little too rough with him, but it usually makes Gus smile. We did have a biting incident this week with Garrett biting Gus, so our biting addiction continues.

Rest stop to play with the excavators... he even let her drive Zane was busy grilling... Gus had a playmate, too. Miss Haylyn is Garrett & Gus's 3rd cousin and she was born 9 days after Gus. He reached over to hold her hand Zane with Gus and his 2nd cousin, Chris, with Haylyn.

I haven't packed a suitcase in a month, so we were itching to go:) First stop out of Texas was a rest stop in Louisiana for a little picnic. 3 Aunt Nettie is such a trooper. I'm so blessed to have the sisters that I do. She and Marcus decided to tag along to help with the kids (with minimal begging from me). For the ride to Natchez, it was just Annette and me. The guys joined us later so Zane could get as much work done as possible. Garrett was ornery most of the trip. He has been pretty argumentative and independent lately. I'm hoping it's a phase that soon passes. The new car has a DVD player, so at about the 5th hour of driving, I told him about the DVD player (up until then he didn't know you could watch movies in the car). People think I'm crazy, but he is a g...
