The Donaho's

 We headed to Glen Rose on Wednesday for a night with the mommies and kiddos. We were outnumbered though: 5 kids to 4 adults. We survived. Kay had all her baby gear out for Gus to use.....it was so convenient.  Garrett and Colton bathed while Jackson was entertained by their antics. Garrett knew he and Colton would have a blast because when we pulled up to Kay's house, Colton was outside in his shorts and cowboy boots "hunting armadillos" with a toy gun. Garrett was immediately smitten.  We were up early Thursday morning to visit Fossil Rim (which is super close to the Kimbrough house). Kay had arranged some open air buses to give us a tour. Garrett kept telling Colton where we were going. He said "it's yike a zoo" (which is how I explained it for him). The ostriches were Garrett's least favorite because they are not very cute and pretty aggressive. The tour guide gave everyone a couple cups of foods, so Garrett was trying to feed everything. Mr. Gus decided he no longer wanted to watch us eat from afar. He spent the entire time just starring at Garrett   Garrett practicing his long range shooting skills from my kitchen. Making Jiffy Pop. Garrett loved watching it, and I loved the smell ~ instantly reminds me of being a kid and making it. We introduced Gus to the jumper and it was a hit. He will stay in there for about 10 minutes before he gets tired. I move this into the bathroom and that is just long enough for a quick shower. Hanging out at Mindy's neighborhood pool...

We made another trip to the Arboretum for Family Fun Day. I expected the weather to be really hot, but it was actually breezy and pleasant. All the shade and trees made for a nice day. Last time Garrett was a tiger. This time is was a puppy dog. Lots of our friends were here, too. Garrett and Jake are good buddies. Gus and Mama Mindy joined us, too.
