Just Gus

Garrett is off to spend the weekend with Nana and Papa in Midland. So Gus gets to be the only child. He was very happy this weekend ~ almost giddy. I think he knew he was getting lots of extra attention. He misses his brother, though. We've seen Garrett's good buddy, Adrien, twice in the last few days. His hair is just as blonde as Garrett's, and Gus just stares at him. I think he thinks it is his bro. His favorite way to stroll... Zane and I have visited a few restaurants since Garrett went to Midland. It is funny how the people that sit next to us just love Gus, and want to sit next to him. Loyola

We headed to Loyola to spend a long weekend with Zane's parents. We made a quick stop in Austin at Costco....and it was the first time Gus sat in the cart without his carseat. Garrett was tickled to "hold" him. As soon as Gus gets a bit sturdier in the grocery cart seat, my Costco shopping will be much more efficient.  On the road again. The boys did really well. We made a few stops to potty, get snacks, feed Gus, etc, but nothing out of the ordinary. They were content with stopping for a few minutes and getting back on the road. Garrett watched a movie on the way there and one on the way back, and that kept him occupied (along with a few sticker books). Also, he had ZERO potty accidents, on the way to Loyola, during our stay and on the way home (it is an 8 hour drive, so we were really impressed). He woke up after each night and nap completely dry. He's been doing really well with potty-training since March, but this is the longest we've gone with no accidents (...
