Garrett has been watching us hang up pictures and shelves and fix things around the house, so now he is very interested in hammers and nails. He took a break from hitting the wall with a hammer (ugh), to find some nails we left on the table. We thought we had taken them all away, but apparently he was still holding onto one. He fell on his chair, and we he got up I saw a nail sticking out of his palm. He cried for about 10 seconds, and then he stopped because he was so excited to use "soap" and get a band-aid. So proud of his wound...

We had a big day at church. The country band was back, we got to dress in our boots and hats, and they had a waterslide all in celebration of our new building addition to the church. Garrett loves his church and his friends. Whenever we pull into the parking lot, Garrett says "pray?". He recently saw a picture I had of the inside of our church. He noticed the blue stained-glass window and looked at me and said "pray" while folding his hands. I guess he gets it, he really gets it. Whenever the Country Band plays in church, the churchmen sing a song. Garrett is probably one of the youngest "churchmen" to ever join the performance. Oh - and "puppy-dog" joined them, too.
