Our week

Image
We had some winter weather here last weekend and earlier this week. My Mom was in town for a conference, but it was cancelled due to the ice and snow, so she got to hang out for a few days. She and Garrett cleaned the kitchen. They worked up a sweat and had to take a rest outside (mom with her coffee, G w/ his hot chocolate). We went to the mall, and Garrett talked Mom into riding the carousel 3 times. He wanted to wear a scarf like Mom's. Enjoying Cracker Barrel's fireplace with Nana Friday night we had sushi. We ordered him California Rolls and he ate them, along with gyoza, edamame, and some of our rolls. He insisted on using his chopsticks. He kept eating and eating. Then we did some shopping for more nursery decor, but did so with Girl Scout Cookies in our cart (girls were selling them outside the store). I think these might have been his first girl scout cookies (I normally don't buy them). Night 4 in the big boy bed.  We are still waiting on his bedding from PBK...

Toddler Yoga Storytime

We met our friends for Yoga Storytime. It was the best storytime we've been to so far.At first, Garrett was a little unsure of the moves, but then he warmed right up to it. Gracie, Claire, Morgan, Drake, Adrien and Garrett Drake took Garrett by the hand and led hi up to read the story.   Doing some yoga moves... Making a crescent moon, since moons were the theme of the day. Garrett and Morgan going to get on their mats. Then they read "Goodnight Moon" - Garrett's favorite. Then they played "freeze". The kids had a blast. Making a full moon... You've been mooned by Garrett (that's the full moon pose):)

A little pampering...

My Mom and Sisters surprised me with a Spa Day on Saturday to celebrate Baby #2. They picked me up from my church council retreat on Saturday at noon and off we went to The Four Seasons in Irving. You could spend all day there because of the lounges, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, etc....so we did. We read, chatted, had lunch and later, cake. Plus a few treatments. It was a great, relaxing day. The Aunties Reading and waiting for our treatments.... Mindy and I couldn't get into any good books, so we just bugged Mom and Annette. :) They even brought presents... After our treatments, we enjoyed cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes....it was amazing. Red Velvet with Chocolate Chips with lots of creamy, thick frosting. The spa attendant took our picture. It's blurry, but it is the only one I have of all 4 of us (or 3-1/2 of us since I didn't fit in the picture). After cake, coffee and champagne (i opted for the smoothie), we decided it was time to get ready to head home. Thanks f...
