Gnismer Farms

Image
Friday afternoon we had a playdate. And since it was a Friday afternoon, a few Dads joined us (including Zane). Good thing because trampling through prickly pumpkin patches isn't for moms in flipflops. Garrett loved spotting pumpkins. Some where orange, some where green, and we looked for the elusive (and popular) white pumpkins, Garrett and his buddy, Jake. Gus watching from the sidelines. Gus and Libby hmmmm... He face says it all. He was having a blast running around with his 2 best buddies. My little pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. The Donaho brothers and the Dean brothers. Jake, Adrien, Garrett and Christophe. The 3 amigos I just thought this was a funny picture of Garrett. He is obviously excited. Zane on the hayride with Garrett, Gus & Liberty. A stroller full o' pumpkins. Baby Stella making her playdate debut. The farm's owners invited the kids to play in their trailer of pumpkins. They were so nice. Meanwhile, Gus was flirting with Libby. Trike-a-thon

Image
On Thursday, Gus and I got to watch Garrett's St. Jude's Trike-a-Thon at MDO. I remember bike-a-thons when I was in school. It was really cute to watch all the kids on their bikes/trikes/scooters/etc. Garrett was surprisingly fast on his bike, especially on the concrete. At home, he mainly rides it in the backyard, so I was impressed that he rode it so well. As an added bonus, we get to see all Garrett's classmates, and put names with faces (since we hear about them frequently). Gus thoroughly enjoyed watching all the kids ride their bikes. He didn't make a peep....just watched big brother. Christopher and Garrett (these 2 are thick as thieves). Mrs. Terry's class Garrett getting his ribbon

A Fall Favorite

Image
This is one of our favorite things to do in the Fall.....The Texas State Fair! Garrett has talked about and imitate Big Tex for 12 months. The parade! Watching Piggy races... Riding a few rides The Fair is all about tradition. We have to visit Big Tex, we have to have a Fletcher's corndog and we have to get a photo booth picture. Obviously this was Gus's 1st Fair picture, and the booth is definitely more crowded with 4:)
