Safari Club

Image
This was our 1st weekend home in quite a while, and by the time Saturday rolled around, we were already itching to get out of the house. So we went to the Dallas Safari Club show. It was interesting, even if we weren't in the market for a $50,000 African safari or $95,000 rifle. There were outfitters there from all over the world selling trips to nearly every continent in the world. It was great people watching, too. Garrett was pretty amazed with it all.

Enjoying the weather

The weather was so nice that we opened up the doors in the office and let Garrett sit in his jumper while Zane and I worked. He played in the jumper for over an hour - just jumping, enjoying the weather, and (his favorite past time) watching the dogs. He is totally intrigued with them. I thought this was a cute shot. Sophie's sleeping and Garrett is watching Heidi, who is laying across the yard.

Trip to Pennsylvania

Fun in PA...my little snow angel

Garrett loved the cold weather. Luckily, it wasn't too frigid while we were there. I hesitated to lay him in the snow, but he obviously loved it. Zane was bummed that there wasn't enough snow to go snowmobiling. Next time we go, we'll shoot for late January when they typically have more snow.

Meeting Grandma Housler

Garrett really liked my Grandmother, and she certainly had lots of fun with him. He even watched the Cotton Bowl with her, but unfortunately, it didn't bring Texas Tech any luck.

Garrett's trip to Pennsylvania

Garrett made his first trip north to see his Great Grandmother, as well as some cousins, great aunts, and lots of friends. He did really well on the plane. Being that we flew on Southwest, for the whole trip, we had stops in Kansas City, Chicago, Buffalo (where we fly into when going to PA), Baltimore, and Oklahoma City. He's made it to 6 states in 4 days....not bad for 4-1/2 months old.
